Concrete Driveways
A new concrete driveway is one of the best upgrades you can make to your home — adding curb appeal, function and value that lasts for decades.
Concrete Driveways Done Right
A driveway takes a beating: heavy vehicles, road salt, and Ohio's relentless freeze-thaw cycle. That is why what happens under the concrete matters just as much as the pour itself. CS & Sons excavates to the right depth, installs and compacts a proper stone base, adds reinforcement, and places control joints where they belong — so your driveway resists cracking, settling and heaving for the long haul.
Whether you are replacing a crumbling old driveway, extending your existing one, or pouring fresh for new construction, we handle the entire process from tear-out to final finish.

Concrete Driveways — FAQs
How thick should a concrete driveway be?
For standard residential vehicles, a 4-inch slab over a solid compacted base is typical. If you park heavy trucks, RVs or trailers, we will step it up to 5–6 inches and add reinforcement. We recommend the right spec based on how you actually use the driveway.
How long before I can drive on my new driveway?
Plan on staying off it with vehicles for about 7 days so the concrete can gain enough strength. You can usually walk on it within 24–48 hours. We will give you exact timing based on the weather during your pour.
